Tourist Travel Requirements for an Congo, Dem. Rep. Of Visa for Swiss Citizens
Passport
The applicant's actual passport. The passport must:
- Contain at least two blank visa pages
- Be valid for six months beyond exit date
Photograph(s)
You must provide one colour, passport type photograph that meets the following criteria:
- Be taken within the last three months and printed on high quality photo paper
- Be taken against an all white background
- Be 35 mm by 45mm in size
- Provide the full frontal view of your head with your face centered in the middle and displaying a neutral (non-smiling) expression
- You may wear neither spectacles nor headwear except for religious purposes
- Your photo should not be affixed to your application and it may not display evidence of adhesive or staples
Proof of Travel Arrangements
Details of travel arrangements. This must be provided as:
- A copy of the flight confirmation showing onward/return travel
- A copy of the hotel confirmation
Or
An original letter of invitation from the applicant's host. This letter must:
- Include the full address and contact details of the host
- Specify the purpose and duration of stay
- Include an acceptance of full financial and immigration responsibility for the applicant
- Be signed by the applicant's host
Yellow Fever Certificate
One copy of yellow fever certificate
Copy of Passport Identification Page
Provide a clear copy of the 2 first pages of your passport
Supplementary Form
One fully completed and signed supplementary form entitled "Engagement de prise en charge", issued by the DGM (Direction Générale de Migration) in Kinshasa
Visa Application Form(s)
One fully completed and signed application form
VisaCentral Order Confirmation
For orders placed on the VisaCentral website, a copy of the Online Order Confirmation which is sent to you via email, must be submitted.
For all other orders, and where applicable, a completed VisaCentral Visa Order Form which can be found in the VisaCentral Application Pack should be submitted.
Please note that all card payments will only be made upon completion of the visa application process.Multiple Entry Visas
To stay valid for the entire granted validity, multiple entry visas must be used for the first entry within a month after issuance

Business Introduction Letter
You must provide a Business Cover Letter from the applicant's Swiss employer. All letters must be printed on company letterhead that displays a Swiss postal address. Use the sample Business Cover Letter provided here to complete your letter.
All Business Cover Letters must be addressed to the Embassy or Consulate. The address of the diplomatic mission can be found here
In addition to the language provided in the sample, your Business Cover Letter must:- Be signed by the Director
- Bear the company stamp/seal
Letter of Invitation
An original letter of invitation from the country of destination. This invitation must:
- Be on company letterhead paper
- Include the name of the applicant
- Include the passport number of the applicant
- State the purpose of journey
- Specify the requested number of entries and length of visa required
- Be notarised in Kinshasa or by the competent notary in the relevant chef-lieu
- Be legalised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kinshasa or in a biometric passport office in province
- Be signed by the Director
- Bear the company stamp/seal
- Be addressed to the Embassy

When is the best time to apply for my Congo, Dem. Rep. Of visa?
The best time to apply for your Congo, Dem. Rep. Of visa is 1-2 months before your travel date. However, if you are running short on time, we may be able to process your visa on a faster service at the Embassy’s discretion. -
Do I have to send you my passport to get a Congo, Dem. Rep. Of visa? Is it safe to send a passport?
Yes. You will need to send your actual passport, not a copy of it. The Congo, Dem. Rep. Of visa is stamped on your passport and will become one of your passport pages. Visa request cannot be processed without your original passport. Because of the importance of your passport, we strongly suggest that you send your application by a secure method, such as a guaranteed postal service or courier.
